Recommendation for Processing and Application of Through-Hole Capacitors
Soldering Process
Internal temperature of the capacitor must be kept as follows:
| Polyester: | preheating: soldering: |
Tmax < 125° C Tmax < 135° C |
| Polypropylene: | preheating: soldering: |
Tmax < 100° C Tmax < 110° C |
Single wave soldering:
Soldering bath temperature: T < 260°C
Dwell time: t < 5 sec
Double wave soldering:
Soldering bath temperature T < 260°C
Dwell time: ∑ t < 5 sec
